You are not to substitute any of the foods on the diet as the diet works its magic by the combination of the foods that you eat. If you change that you will not get the full effects of the fat burning process. 

It is recommended not to exercise on this diet as your calorie intake is so little. You should only exercise when your energy levels are really high. Do not stay on the diet no-more then 12 days at a time. You need to have at least a two day break in between cycles.

One of the best things about this diet is that grapefruit has no fat and it is low in calories, not to mention that it is packed full of vitamin C. Pink grapefruits contain Beta-carotene which is known to help reduce your level of cholesterol as well as build a healthy heart.

The levels of insulin can be reduced on this diet thus speeding up the weight loss. Some of the bad points is that the calorie intake is low therefore you are not getting enough daily nutrition.

You may suffer from dizziness and an upset stomach as a result of the caffeine and not enough food. It is important to keep up with vitamin supplements while on this diet to avoid unnecessary health risks.
